I went a little wild in past years with creepy Halloween recipes: candy pops, Halloween cocktails, marshmallow ghosts, and other goodies. Technically I made these marshmallows for the premiere of the new Ghostbusters reboot, but they fit right into a Halloween recipe lineup, right? Marshmallows are super fun to make and you can use any cookie cutter shapes you prefer. I used this one.

This is a classic recipe that always get nabbed quickly at parties. I used both chocolate kisses and pumpkin spice kisses for a little color variety. Use whatever kind you like.

Using only three main ingredients, the toppings and fillings are up to you in these cookies. I’m using the ultimate shortcut of cake batter to make these cookies so flippin’ easy.
I used the sweet and salty combo of caramel-flavored candy corn and roasted peanuts. I’d also suggest white chocolate chips, pistachios, a caramel drizzle… anything you like.
